Replace inserted instances of original block with another.

· Click image tile to pick instances of a block you want to replace
· Select all instances — check to select all instances of picked block
· Purge block definition — check to purge original block definition from current drawing (is enabled only when Select all instances is checked)
· Click image tile to select replacement block
· Insertion Mode — select if replacement block will be Inserted or
X-referenced
Adjust Lines
Click to select from the following options:
· Retrim Lines (Default) — when selected, will fix lines around blocks using original block’s Trim Shape and then will apply Replacement block’s Trim Shape to re-trim lines.
Use this option when Original and Replacement blocks are of different shape or scale,
· Fix Lines — when selected, it will try to restore broken lines around blocks using original block’s Trim Shape.
Replacement block’s Trim Shape will not be applied.
Use this option when Original block has Trim Shape configured and Replacement does not.
· Don’t Adjust — when selected, it disables both line fixing and line re-trimming.
Use this option when both Original and Replacement blocks have same shape and scale, or Trim Shape is not configured.
Position
Replacement-block’s Scale, Rotation and Insertion point, relative to Original block.
Click to select from the following options:
· Match Original (Default) - select this option to match original block’s Scale, Rotation and Insertion point
· Specify — select this option when Replacement block’s extends, scale, rotation or insertion point differ from Original to achieve perfect replacement
o Refresh — click to update status when adjustment was made using AutoCAD or IntelliCAD tools in addition to options provided by this module
o X-Flip — mirror replacement block horizontally
o Y-Flip — mirror replacement block vertically
o Align-X — align blocks using their horizontal extends
o Align-Y — align blocks using their vertical extends
o Save — save and return to Replace Blocks module
o In addition to above tools you can double-click any of the properties displayed and enter its value. Click Apply button to see replacement block to adjust.
PropertiesSpecify what Layer, Color and Linetype to use for Replacement block.
Click to select from the following options:
· Replacement (Default) - select this option to use Replacement block’s insert properties
· Match Existing — select this option to match Original block’s insert properties
· Specify — to explicitly select insert properties

- Select a Color (it is recommended to set it to ByLayer to enable layer to control this property)
- Select a Linetype (it is recommended to set it to ByLayer to enable layer to control this property)
Match Entity — apply picked entity’s Layer, Color and Linetype to Replacement block
AttributesConfigure Replacement block’s attributes.
Click to select from the following options:
· Replacement (Default) - select this option to use Replacement block’s attribute configuration
· Match Existing — select this option to match Original block’s attributes
· Specify — to explicitly configure attributes for Replacement block
· Blank — to blank Replacement block’s attributes
